For data engineering specifically, this matters most in three areas: first, code generation for dbt models and data quality checks becomes genuinely practical at scale; second, long-running agentic workflows can now orchestrate multi-step transformations without building custom orchestration; third, governance becomes simpler when your LLM calls stay within Vertex's audit logs and IAM boundaries.
